I don't feel as oomph to blog about this as I did on Saturday, but I tweeted it, saying I will blog it, so I'm gonna do as I said.
I caught the Radio Flyer on Astro last Saturday. Its a 1992 film about an elder brother building a flying wagon so his little brother could escape the abuse he got from their stepfather. And this film made me cry. ='( It was just so touching to see how 2 barely-mature boys took care of each other, and even could worry about their mother getting upset when she finds out. Haihz... And the fact that the both of them looked so adorable just added icing on the whole sweetness of the film. Not forgetting also that those 2 boys could really act despite their age.

That's right. The elder brother is the Elijah Wood of the Lord of the Rings. xD I felt there was something familiar about this boy when I was watching the movie, and I guessed it was Elijah when he was younger. There was just something unique about his blue eyes that'll just make you think of that name. Lol.

The younger brother, however, was someone unknown to me until now. Joseph Mazzello. The boy looked familiar too, definitely, and he gave me that sort of assumption that he was an experienced face on screen as I was watching this. And I was right. This was just the younger version of himself now. Probably the start of his acting career.

Lo and behold, after the screening of the Radio Flyer on Astro, Jurassic Park was screened. And Joseph was acting in it too, also as a little boy (Tim) that was trapped on that dinosaur land.

And then, as I was googling him, I found out that he acted in Simon Birch too. This is a heart-warming film I've caught before in the past, and I never knew there was a Joseph Mazzello in it until now. Lol. xD
Its no surprised that he was given many "sensitive, melancholic" roles in the past when he was a child. I can't remember his acting in Jurassic Park though, but I caught glimpses of it in Astro that showed melancholic scenes of him too. He's just got that look in his eyes and his demeanor that makes you think like he is deep in thought. A sensitive kid. A kid that was too mature for his age, though he hardly speaks of it outloud. The kid has got talent...hmm...

Apparently he's acted in many other films too, and now, little, melancholic Joseph boy is no longer a kid.

Do you know any of his latest films? Has he been acting recently? Hmm... I guess I'd be looking out for more of him in the future. Hope his skills has further improved now that he has grown.
