Just to explain...

Hey guys...

Sorry been MIA for some time.

Guess what? I'll continue to be MIA still...until mission trip is over, I believe. That's like end of May. There's just too much work, and too little time and energy to constantly update here. Sorry!

Yikes!

If you noticed (or not, it doesn't matter), there are some changes made to a couple of posts in this blog. Sorry for any weirdness caused. (Actually, harm is only done to my blog, right...*shrug*) There are relevant reasons to the actions taken. So...just FYI. ;)

Ok then. 'Til next time! Stay cool, stay healthy. xoxo!

Movie review - Ip Man 2

Whoa...what an experience traveling by myself down to Johor Bahru, and 3 days later, going through the customs myself, taking a bus to Kranji MRT, and then getting myself back to Bishan. :-O Needless to say, all my senses were 120% alert as I traveled. Lol. Anyway, it was great spending time with you and your family, Olivia. Thanks for the hospitality and lurve again! *huggs*

So, before I left JB, Olivia and I caught a movie. Here's the review...

This is a good movie to catch. The first one was not disappointing at all; this one wasn't either. In fact, this sequel continued where the previous one left of pretty well... No strings were left untied. Action was good. Story line tugging on our emotions... I mean, seriously...I've never felt so loyal to the Chinese race before. Not that I'm a betrayer...its just that, I'm not super duper Chinesey, if you get what I mean. But somehow, when the "Foreign Devil" called Master Hung a "yellow piece of fat", I was like yellow?!? and all emotions for the Chinese and against anyone else who bullies the Chinese were raised. Jarrod even says the movie made him wanna learn Mandarin. xD

However, comparing the first and the second Ip Man back-to-back... I think I prefer the first one. I think the first one was longer, thus more illustrated. Also, the storyline was new and refreshing. This second one carried a similar theme: Chinese fighting for fair treatment against those of other race and cultures. If a third Ip Man is shown with the same theme, though it may be filled with the same awesome action and more famous casts, I'd probably be no longer impressed and interested...

Anyway, here's the overall rating: 8/10

Its back to Alpha Track tomorrow. Handing up our Life Paper assignment this Friday. I've yet to complete it. Yikes!

Movie review - Clash of the Titans

Watched this one gloomy Saturday afternoon with D-boy at the cinema in Junction 8, Singapore. Was suddenly very appreciative of cinemas here in Malaysia. Lol... I'm not gonna elaborate more, lest those reading this may get offended or what nots... ;) No punt intended ok...

So anyway, Arnold predicted the movie to be a good one before it came out. Guess what? Arnold's wrong. Lol... We still love you, Arnie... ;) The reviews already caused me to expect less of the show, so I wasn't left feeling uber disappointed.

It was quite a while back that we watched this, so I kinda forgot some of my critics. So sorry... But I remember this: I felt the movie was quite a rush. And I felt that there wasn't much depth to the story line. Hmm...yeah, that's about it. Of the two of Sam Worthington's movies, Avatar is way better than this one.

That's all. Rating: 5/10
